Starting from May 17, the GranUM Museum in Baveno will host the exhibition “Stone Stories: from picasass to stonecutter”, which recounts the epic tale of the emigration of Baveno’s stonemasons overseas.
The exhibition traces their long and adventurous journeys, their integration into the economic and social fabric of Barre (Vermont) – the granite capital of America – and highlights key figures involved in pioneering trade union struggles and workers' rights advocacy.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge until February 28, 2026, on the following days and times:
From May 17 to October 5:
Daily, 9:00–12:30 and 15:00–18:00
