Every year Santa Maria Maggiore, a beautiful village in the Vigezzo Valley, hosts more than 1200 chimney sweeps, coming from all over the world in order to celebrate and remember a particular ancient job: the chimney sweep.

The International Meeting of Chimney Sweeps, now at its 41st edition, is programmed from 30th August to 2nd September 2024: five days of celebration including dances, music and parades.

The gathering, as always, is organised by the National Chimney Sweep Association with the aid of the Vigezzo Valley Consortium of Mountain Municipalities and the Verbano Cusio Ossola Province.
