Lago Maggiore is preparing to welcome the second edition of "Film in Piazzetta", a one-of-a-kind film festival that brings the big screen to less frequented places, offering an intimate and engaging cinematic experience. The initiative, organized by the Chapeau Films Italy team in collaboration with Paper Comunicazione, the "LeGGittima Difesa" Cultural Association and the Caffetteria Al Fresco, will take place in the charming little square of Vicolo del Mulino 13 in Verbania, in the heart of the historic center of Intra.
Program of the "Film in Piazzetta" 2024 review
The 2024 summer edition offers three unmissable evenings, each dedicated to a different film genre:
- Friday 16 August, 8.45pm - "Evergreen" evening: The event begins with the screening of the famous film "Gladiator", directed by Ridley Scott (2000). An evening under the stars to relive the emotions of a colossal film that marked contemporary cinema.
- Friday 30 August, 8.45pm - "Classic" evening: The second evening is dedicated to a great Hollywood classic, "Breakfast at Tiffany's", directed by Blake Edwards (1961). A unique opportunity to rediscover the enchantment of the golden age of cinema.
- Friday 13 September, 8.45pm - "Kids" evening: The last evening is designed for the little ones with the screening of "Inside Out", Peter Docter's animated masterpiece (2015). An unforgettable cinematic experience for the whole family.
Details and reservations
Available places are limited to 50, to guarantee an exclusive experience reserved for those with reservations only. The cost of the ticket is €10, which represents a donation to the "LeGGittima Difesa" Cultural Association, including registration as new members. The ticket also includes a seat to watch the film and a free popcorn offered by the Caffetteria Al Fresco.
The screenings are sponsored by the Municipality of Verbania and represent an important initiative to support and promote open-air cinema.
