In the municipality of Premia, thanks to a collaboration between Enel Green Power and the Piedmontese beekeeping company Alveare Ossolano, Bee Sustainable, an environmental sustainability project has kicked off with the aim of collecting environmental information through observation of the behavioral dynamics of bees.
This is made possible through the use of multimedia hives, equipped with cameras, which allow the bees' behavior to be studied at any time and environmental parameters, such as CO2 or particulate matter concentrations, to be recorded.
From February 2024, the project may be the subject of multidisciplinary educational workshops also aimed at schools.
