Description

The Ecomuseum of Fishing includes the entire territory of the Isola Superiore (Upper Island), identifying a network of significant places that make up an itinerary for visitors.

The main eco-museum is located in the House donated to the community by the musician Ugo Ara, formerly home to the elementary schools, later set up as a small fishing museum by the Pro Loco of Fishermen’s Island.

Along with this, there are other places such as the historic Zanetti house, the church of San Vittore, the characteristic cemetery, the Andrea Ruffoni house-museum, the ancient pier, the port, and other picturesque places.

With the aim of raising awareness of the new Ecomuseum of Fishing and of Fishermen's Island, two special guided tours of the Island and the ecomuseum sites have been organised. The free initiative, but with limited seats, is scheduled for Friday 15th and Saturday 16th, September 2023 with departure at 5:30 pm from Lido di Carciano.
