Programme

With the concert on Saturday, September 16, 2023, the concert program of the Romantic Piano Festival "Les Nuits Romantiques," edition 2023, resumes in collaboration with the Event Center Foundation "Il Maggiore" and the support of the City of Verbania.

All concerts will be held at Villa Simonetta in Verbania starting at 9 p.m.

The first concert, Saturday, Sept. 16, will feature pianist Aurelia Visovan on the 1845 Boisselot et Fils piano: the monographic program is dedicated to Franz Liszt with a performance of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 14, 2 Legendes, S.175, Ballade No. 2 in B minor and four Grandes Etudes S.137, No. 1-4.

On Sunday, September 24, it will be the turn of Naruhiko Kawaguchi, who will distribute his program on two pianos: the 1838 Erard Piano en forme de Clavecin and the 1843 Pleyel Petit Patron piano: on the program will be works by Robert Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Ch. Valentin Alkan and Fryderyk Chopin.

The next concert will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, with Cyril Huvé on piano Boisselot et Fils of 1845 and works by Robert Schumann and Ch. Valentin Alkan.

On Saturday, Oct. 28, pianist Tomasz Kameniak will present a varied program, to be performed alternately on the 1838 Erard Piano en forme de Clavecin and the 1843 Pleyel Petit Patron piano, featuring works by Henri Herz, Friedrich Wilhelm Kalkbrenner, Émile Prudent, Theodor Döhler, Sigismond Thalberg, Charles Valentin Alkan, Franz Liszt and Fryderyk Chopin.

The Festival will conclude on Tuesday, Nov. 21, with Constantine Mastroprimiano who on the 1843 Pleyel Petit Patron piano will give us a reconstruction of Fryderyk Chopin's Recital of April 26, 1841.
