The third edition of the Festival of Di-Se Illustrations in Domodossola is approaching, from Saturday May 6th to Sunday July 2nd. The event is confirmed as one of the most long-awaited and original on the national scene: a young festival that continues to weave a valid and lively network of artists and creatives and to bring some of the most interesting and well-known names related to the world of illustrations to the north of Piedmont, in the province of Verbania close to and in dialogue with the Swiss border.

Three artists are exhibiting this year in the historic and majestic areas of the Mellerio Rosmini College in Domodossola: Elisa Macellari, Paolo Metaldi and Paola Tassetti. Each of them has a different way of conceiving of the illustration: Metaldi moves in the multifaceted universe of drawing, Macellari in that of the graphic novel, Tassetti captures aspects which are related more to the world of contemporary art.

Each of the artists’ personal paths of reflection and research unwinds within three major monographic exhibitions which become an opportunity to reflect on the ways of illustrating today and on the perfect dignity of this special and incredible artistic language. The path of each artist converses with the historical environments of the College and gives life to new perspectives and unusual points of view regarding the nineteenth-century collections of the Rosminian fathers.
