Programme

The tourist and cultural season of the Sacro Monte di Varese is getting underway again.

After the customary winter closure, all the museums in the village will be officially reopening on Saturday March 18th: the Pogliaghi House Museum, the Baroffio Museum, and the Crypt of the sanctuary can once again be visited to relate centuries of history, art, and devotion. These three fascinating places preserve works of immense value and attract more and more tourists from northern Italy and nearby Switzerland, thus giving further value to the Sacro Monte di Varese which has been listed among the UNESCO world heritage sites since 2003. The Pogliaghi House Museum is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm, the Crypt and the Baroffio Museum are open on the same days from 2 pm to 6 pm. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays all three museums are open from 10 am to 6 pm
