The second cycle of guided tours "Varese, blessed are those who come here", is a journey to discover the most beautiful nativity scenes among the symbolic places in Varese. In view of Christmas, Archeologicalics, a social enterprise engaged in the promotion of cultural heritage, with the contribution of the Lombardy Region, in November and December will promote a visit to the coffers of the Varese area to celebrate the birth of Christ by visiting precious artistic pieces of evidence, six places for twelve occasions for free guided tours.

The calendar will start with one of the most picturesque places in the province of Varese: the church of Santa Maria foris portas in Castelseprio houses a cycle of frescoes devoted to the theme of the nativity - from the Annunciation to the Adoration of the Magi - Maestro Castelseprio most probably created it around the tenth century thus representing the good news. The guided tours are scheduled for Saturday, November 26th, and Monday December 26th, at two times: 10:30am and 2pm.

  • Wednesday, November 30th and Friday, December 30th (10:30am): Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Miracles in Saronno
  • December 1st and Saturday, December 31st (10:30am): Church of Sant'Antonio Abate in Cadegliano Viconago.
