The photographic exhibition is the first event of a larger project, organized by the Landscape Museum to remember and make a more in-depth study of the extraordinary figure of Guido Boggiani, the result of which will be a major exhibition during the summer of 2023.

This first tribute explores Boggiani's passion for photography and the people of the Gran Chaco. The curators, Gherardo la Francesca and Luca Rugiu, bring the historical photos (portraits and landscapes) taken by Guido Boggiani in the nineteenth century closer to some modern pictures taken during their recent trips to Gran Chaco for the activities of their Green Museum.

Each photograph will be commented on with the phrases that Boggiani left in his diaries and in his works "The Chamacocos" and "The Kadiwéus", still very up-to-date today.
