Programme

Starting from Friday July 8th, the exhibition "Unusual conversations, a dialogue between the Landscape Museum and the Alessi Museum" curated by Francesca Appiani and Luca Bottiroli can be visited at the Landscape Museum in Verbania.

The exhibition extends along the exhibition path of the Landscape Museum, presenting a series of connections and juxtapositions between the works shown in it and a selection of materials from the collection of the Alessi Museum. Room after room, the visitor is invited to discover the network of references, sometimes peculiar and unpredictable, between the paintings and sculptures preserved in the splendid Palazzo Viani Dugnani in Verbania and the applied art projects of the Alessi collection: the sublime female portraits by the sculptor Paolo Troubetzkoy, for example, interact with the "design portraits" of which Alessandro Mendini was one of the most extraordinary interpreters, while the mountain and its exciting landscapes are shown as a source of inspiration not only for the romantic views painted by Federico Ashton but also for the design projects, such as the unprecedented tray designed by Pierfrancesco Cravel which reproduces the fascinating orography of Lake Liconi.

The exhibition will be open at the following times:

from Tuesday to Sunday
from 10:00am to 6:00pm
