Programme

After two years of silence caused by the storm of the pandemic, the Committee of the Walser Community of Macugnaga invites lovers of alpine and mountain culture and all those who are merely curious to the usual appointment with Alpine and Walser handcrafts that will be held in Macugnaga on July 1, 2 and 3, 2022.

The Fair will open its doors on the afternoon of Friday, July 1st, around 2:30 pm, at the Tourist Promotion Office in Piazza Municipio, Staffa, with the opening of the 20th Edition of Sculptures on Lime Wood.

The official inauguration, in the presence of the authorities, will take place in the Town Hall square at 3 pm on the afternoon of Saturday, July 2nd.

The Market Exhibition will be open to the public, with free admission, from 9:30 am to 10 pm on Saturday July 2nd and from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday July 3rd, and visitors will see the display of Walser and Alpine handicraft products, carefully selected: sculptures in wood and stone, ceramics, fabrics and embroideries, woven baskets, wrought iron works, work tools.

There are many concomitant cultural events at the Fair.
