Programme

The exhibition "RE-CONNECTIONS. Nature and environment from the 19th century to the present day", organised and promoted by the Museo del Paesaggio of Verbania in collaboration with the Reggia di Venaria and the Consorzio delle Residenze Reali Sabaude ("Consortium of the Royal Residences of Savoy") will be open until 26 June from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 18.00 (all day opening) in the museum's historic headquarters at Palazzo Viani Dugnani, Via Ruga 44.

A selection of the contemporary art works presented in the last section of the Venaria exhibition will be housed in the museum's picture gallery at Palazzo Viani Dugnani (Via Ruga 44-Verbania), connecting with the nineteenth-century landscape paintings that characterize the permanent museum collection.

The title of the exhibition is intended to play on the double meaning of the word "Connection", focusing attention on the ever-present themes of the environment and inviting the public to re-connect with nature and look at it with new eyes, as did the contemporary artists presented... who were in turn "connected" with the nineteenth-century landscape views that made up the first nucleus of works that gave life to the Museo del Paesaggio.
