From June 23rd to July 2nd the 38th edition of Jazz Ascona will take place in the spirit of twinning with New Orleans!

The aim of the festival is to offer the public an exciting overview of the diverse culture of New Orleans: more than in the past, the festival will offer a real exchange between musicians from the city on the Mississippi River and European and local musicians who will play together in new and surprising combinations!

Among the most anticipated stars of the festival is singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, who will perform a free concert with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra on July 2.

In addition to the concerts on the lakefront stages, many unique musical sessions will take place, with impromptu groups: street music and small acoustic concerts.

In total there will be over 350 happenings during the 10 days of the festival.
