On Saturday 16th April the Visconti Castle of Vogogna reopens to the public, after a short period of closure, with a new exhibition entitled "In the world of the Celts, the pre-Roman Ossola and the head of Dresio".
The Celtic head of Dresio of Vogogna, known as the "Celtic Mascherone", dated to the II-III century B.C., is regarded as a veritable archaeological jewel; walled up in a fountain in the churchyard of the oratory of San Pietro, in recent years the Celtic head has been preserved inside Palazzo Pretorio.
From April 16th to June 12th, the Castle will be open on weekends and during holidays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
From June 13th to September 11th every day from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
