The exhibition “Intrecci. Passato e presente della cesteria nelle Terre di Mezzo", after the success of the 2019 edition, returns in a social version to respond to the health emergency linked to the Coronavirus.
So, the Park, the Ecomuseum and the La Lencistra Association have decided to organize a competition on Social Media dedicated to baskets and other intertwined artefacts and the memories linked to them.
The contest “Intrecci di lencistre e parole” is dedicated to the historical baskets of the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola and is open to all. To participate, a maximum of 5 photographs of baskets can be sent, combined with a short memory (maximum 1800 characters).
Users can send the material to the email promotion@parcovalgrande.it or with a message through the Facebook page of the Val Grande National Park, no later than January 17, 2021.
Participants must also send their name and surname, telephone number (the data provided will be used exclusively for this initiative and collected only to communicate with the winners) and some useful details for the jury: origin, hypothetical dating and craftsman who made it and 3 images of the basket (side, bottom and top). The album “Intrecci di lencistre e parole” will be published on the Facebook page, containing the participating photographs, one for each basket in the competition (participants must indicate the favorite among the 3 sent).
The competition is divided into 2 sections:
- The audience's favorite basket / story. The photo that gets the most likes wins. Prize: a basket containing local products.
- The most original basket / story. The winner is selected by the jury. Prize: the official scholarship of the Valgrande National Park.
