The Punto sull'Arte gallery in Varese will host Daniele Cestari’s solo exhibition entitled "Sound of Silence", from 27th January to 2nd March 2019.
Thirty-five year old Daniele Cestari from Ferrara is a champion of the landscape. It is his key to interpreting reality. He depicts vast urban scenes, played on potentially endless perspectives, where buildings act as pretexts for reinterpreting space; or iconic, monolithic mountains, lost in an elsewhere that renders them archetypal of the mountain landscape and bearers of implied symbols and meanings.
The silence of the barely whispered chromatic score - often played out with a reduced range of tones, from greys to whites or browns to ochres – suddenly rings out in the scratches of colour, inconsistent stripes and the thickening of matter that compel the viewer to reconsider the image.
Opening times:
Tuesday - Saturday: 10 am - 1 pm and 3 - 7 pm
Sunday 27th January and 3rd February: 3 – 7 pm
