Programme

Tones On The Stones, a festival presenting a range of performances from some great international artists, returns to the stage this year from 13th to 28th July, taking full advantage of the setting provided by the quarries in the mountains, nestled amidst the lakes, rivers, mountains and hills just past Lake Maggiore.

The twelfth edition will take place in two historical mineral deposits in the lower Ossola Valley: it begins at the Seula quarry in Baveno, on the banks of Lake Maggiore, proceeding to La Beola di Monte quarry in Montecrestese, both majestic places where precious materials such as silver gneiss and pink granite are extracted.

The festival starts on Friday 13th July with La Junta Escondida, a performance of Argentine Tango and continues Friday 20th and Saturday 21st July with Nextones – Beyond Music & Mountain, a section dedicated to digital arts and new music, which has enriched its format this year with a programme of activities named Day & Night. This cultural event aims to highlight and promote artistic talent as well as discovery of the surrounding area.

The programme continues on Thursday 26th with La Febbre dell’Oro, an exciting combination of music synchronised to images of the great Charlie Chaplin.

The festival closes on Saturday 28th July with a music show named Prelibate Armonie alla Rossini.
