A few days ago, Ossolano di Crodo, cheese produced by Latteria Sociale Antigoriana, was awarded the coveted European certificate of protected designation of origin: Ossolano and Ossolano d'Alpe have become PDO.
The manager of Latteria Sociale Antigoriana, as well as the Chairman of the Consorzio Tutela Formaggio Ossolano, Giovanni Tacchini expressed great satisfaction in having achieved such a goal: "Important results can be achieved with commitment and perseverance".
PDO certification is fundamental for promoting, acknowledging and certifying the alpine pastures, air, water and production conditions for this cheese, which is now recognised as truly unique.
