Verbania the best liveable town in Italy

A recent study carried out by “Legambiente”, the biggest Italian environmentalist association, awards Verbania as the best town to live in Italy.

Beautiful gardens, elegant islands, luxuriant natural parks and majestic mountains. A heritage from the immeasurable value that citizens of Verbania, together with the municipal administration, do all their best to protect also through the implementation of policies to improve environment’s quality.

As an evidence of this, the outcome of the 21° edition of “Ecosistema Urbano”, the report compiled by the biggest Italian environmentalist association “Legambiente” on environmental liveability of Italian county towns, which crowns the town of Verbania as the one with the best environmental performances.

18 index have been taken into account to compare 104 county towns: 3 on air quality, 3 on water management, 2 on waste management, 2 on public transport, 5 on mobility, one on car accidents and two on energy.

At the top of the rank, together with Verbania, there are Belluno, Bolzano, Trento and Pordenone.

This is an important award that values a city rich in historical sites and natural beauties and that will certainly contribute to stimulate new developments in the field of environmental protection.
