Description

A sailing boat, a camera, a state of the art drone, technique and a lot of passion. With these tools, photographer Walter Zerla has created a volume of 170 evocative and touching shots which show us the two lakes from perspectives which have never been explored before.

The constant presence on the water, for more than two years, has enabled the photographer to capture the landscapes under different lights and in different seasons: from dawn to sunset, from winter to summer. For this reason, the book is more than a collection of wonderful shots, it is an invitation to meditate on time flowing and change, elements that too often we tend to ignore while being busy with everyday life.

The book of 200 pages is available in six languages: one in Italian, English and German and the other in Italian, French and Spanish. It is possible to purchase it on-line at the following website www.lagomaggioreinvela.it. We recommend it to whom has already visited the two lakes and has fallen in love with it but also to all those who haven’t had the chance yet to visit them.

The photographic/artistic project has gone along with the scientific project “S.A.I.L.I.N.G” (Sensor-based Assessment on In Lake process and water quality – Scientific INvestigation and Growing environmental awareness) entirely promoted by the CNR ISE laboratories: electronic components fixed on the photographer’s boat have provided a unique opportunity to start a scientific monitoring of both lakes based on the use of sensors measuring limnological parameters with a high temporal and spatial frequency.

Below, some beautiful shots contained in the book.
