By car
On the highway Milano - Torino, upon the yield to Biandrate take the A26 direction Gravellona Toce. Exit at Romagnano Sesia and follow the signs to Borgomanero. The Village is located 5 km from the toll along the lake state road on the right, shortly after the intersection to Cavallirio and the overpass (follow the sign: Villaggio Verde)

By train
From Novara: a) Varallo Sesia line until the station Romagnano Sesia, there you may take a bus to Borgomanero and get off in front of the Village asking the driver to let you know when you're there. From Santhià: a) Line to Arona, Romagnano station and then bus to Borgomanero, getting off in front of the Village by asking the driver to let you know when you're there (Villaggio Verde). Il Villaggio Verde (the Green Village) of Cavallirio (NO) is an eco-village project founded at the beginning of the 1980's by Bernardino del Boca.

Il Villaggio Verde was meant to be an experimental centre for the evolution of conscience, a free laboratory of living seeking harmony with one's self, with others and with nature. The Green village is an experimentation carried out by a group of people that fulfill different roles in society, at times recquiring a certain ammount of responsibility with the scope of putting forth a life example in contrast with that of the frenetic and polluting life of the city. The project foresees the creation of a village that is for the most part self sufficient and sustainable, made up of several families that are autonomous from an organizational and economic standpoint but with numerous collective spaces, moments and resources. There is not a predominant political or religious inspiration, nor a rigid set of rules: every one is free to participate or not to common activities according to personal needs and inclinations. Decisions are made in the majority looking, however, to reach unanimous consent, which is for the most part accomplished. 

Among the permanent activies open to the public carried out at the Village are:

• Qi-Gong: Respiratory gymnastics for a holistic well being.
• Art gallery Gino Cosentino. Permanent exhibit of the works of the sculptor Gino Cosentino (www.ginocosentino.com)
• Organic produce selling
• Natural horsemanship: approach to the horse, natural horsemanship lessons and excursions on horseback. Managed by the Association "Rio dei Cavalli". 
• Laboratories on resilience
• B&B: the bed & breakfast at the "Green Village" will open in spring 2013
• Monthly gatherings
