A weekend full of sports and adventure to have fun with friends at Lake Maggiore! Who said that at Lake Maggiore there's nothing to do?! Many opportunities to practise outdoor sports and activities surrounded by nature!
1st day: Arrival at Lake Maggiore
Arrival, accommodation in a 3-star-hotel at Lake Maggiore. Tasty dinner at "Lo Stornello" Restaurant, located in the historical centre of Stresa, the "Pearl of Lake Maggiore" overlooking the enchanting Borromean Gulf.
2nd day: Canyoning in Ossola Valley
After breakfast starts an exciting day of "extreme" sport. Day dedicated to the practice of canyoning: an adventurous descent of torrents with suggestive succession of ravines, natural pools and slides. Without using any kind of boats, but only diving deep in water with wetsuit, helmet and harness, followed step by step by expert alpine guides. Exciting dives and slides… It’s like a natural water park! Ossola Valley near Lake Maggiore offers some unknown places, ideal to practice this sport! It might seems an activity or a sport "only for the brave", but don’t worry, with a little bit of courage, you can try, but always watched over by expert alpine guide! After a hectic day, a quiet dinner is what you need!
3rd day: Mountain biking at Mottarone
In the morning, departure for Lido of Carciano in Stresa, from where you take a cable car to reach Mount Mottarone... Once arrived at the top, the adventure can start! Wear your helmet and jump on your fantastic mountain bike: now you are ready! On the run immense and spectacular views await for you... what a better way to visit one of the most panoramic mountains of Lake Maggiore!? Mount Mottarone is familiarly called "the mountain of the two lakes" (Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta), from its top, situated at 1,491 metres above sea level, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view, with the possibility in clear days to see the wonderful Alps with Mount Rosa and to the south the immensity of the plain... Still a taste of fresh air before reaching Stresa again and continue to get back home…
