The Agusta Museum

Busto Arsizio (VA)

The Agusta Museum was founded by the Association of ex-Agusta workers and is actively supported by the company itself. The museum contains hundreds of curiosities, documents, photos, drawings, examples, prototypes, models and full size and scale replicas of aeroplanes, helicopters, motorcycles and components, covering almost a century of life in the Italian mechanical and aeronautical industry.

This is the first time for such a large quantity of objects documenting this unique industrial story to be collected and conserved. Without the help of the museum a vast amount of material would have been dispersed and lost. A valuable if only partial predecessor to the current museum was the Gallarate Museum of Technology and Labour that opened in 1977 and closed in 1993. This museum already housed various models of motorcycle, left to the ex-workers’ association by the Agusta family.
