Rognoni Salvaneschi Museum

The Rognoni Salvaneschi House Museum is an excellent example of the affection the people of Novara feel for their city.

Alessandra Rognoni Salvaneschi, who died in 1983, bequeathed to the city her centrally located 15th century house, now the most valuable testimony to the culture and traditions of Novara in the 19th century.

The Rognoni Salvaneschi family’s lovingly amassed collection comprises the family furniture, toys, rich gowns and embroidered items, china and objects representative of the 19th century culture of the city.

As the collection has too many items to be displayed all at once, exhibition rooms have been laid out on the ground floor to show the material in rotation and following specific themes.
