Take a garment, a fabric, a piece of jewellery from anywhere in the world, tastefully combine it with recycled materials, old hemp and linen cloths that once made up dowries, antique objects, and give them new life.
Mara Arte is a creative workshop that loves recycling and combines travel memories with natural and artisanal materials from the Valsesian area.
Mara Frigiolini, the driving force behind the project, is a versatile and multifaceted woman who has been able to synthesise her love of art, fabrics and objects collected from all over the world and transform them into beautiful silhouettes of painted or embroidered women that adorn a reinterpretation of Valsesian scapin, curtains and cushions; into clothes that are a blend of oriental lines, Italian-made fabrics and Indian silks; designer furnishings that combine elements of the valley’s nature with shapes and influences from a wide variety of cultures.
