On June 29th and 30th, 2024, Macugnaga was hit by a violent storm, which caused the Tambach stream to overflow. The torrent flooded the town’s streets, causing extensive damage to the residential area of Staffa, as well as to roads, homes, and businesses.
The Monte Rosa Laghi Alto Piemonte Chamber of Commerce expresses its deepest sympathy and solidarity with the Macugnaga community for the serious damage suffered.
