The “Ciclovia del Mare” itinerary proposed by the Piedmont Region ranked third place ex aequo at the Green Road Award, the Italian Oscar of cycle tourism.
The Ciclovia del Mare is an important cycle tourism itinerary that connects the Alps to the Ligurian sea, crossing hills, villages, vineyards, and also the rice fields of the Vercelli area.
Also known as “Svizzera-Mare”, the cycle route is 470km long, 416 of which are in Piedmont.
