28 November 2025

The itinerary “Sui sentieri di Pier Giorgio” (On the Trails of Pier Giorgio) will be inaugurated in the spring of 2026. it is a route that touches upon the places dear to Frassati, which are also symbolic locations for the town of Pollone.

Supported by Compagnia di San Paolo, the CRB and CRT Foundations, and the Region, the path was created with the collaboration of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Community and the Maria Cecilia cooperative, involving inmates and vulnerable individuals in the construction of the structures for panels and trail markers. The signage was provided by CAI (Italian Alpine Club) and positioned with the help of Pollone volunteers.

The route consists of seven main stages, each featuring a panel that explores an aspect of the saint’s life, with texts in Italian and English. The itinerary is a loop, extends for 3.8 km, and takes approximately 2 hours to complete.

Starting point: Chiesetta di San Rocco (San Rocco Chapel).
The itinerary includes the following points: Town Hall, Villa Ametis, Church of Sant’Eusebio, Church of the Santissima Trinità.

It then continues with the climb toward San Barnaba, le Piane, and the Trent Orme, eventually connecting to the path that leads to Poggio Frassati.
