Comparing those who live the land by profession, those who cross it by choice, and those who administer it as a mission. This is the goal of “We are all transhumant. A meeting of great walkers,” a conference to be held on Saturday, April 11, at the Congress Hall of the Municipality of Boca, followed on Sunday, April 12, by an inaugural walk in the heart of Fenera Park.
The event marks the continuation of Transumè, the project launched in 2025 with the support of the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and recently concluded, aimed at promoting transhumance in the corridor between Lakes Orta and Maggiore, from the Novara Plain to Ossola, not only as an economic practice but as an essential cultural and environmental safeguard for local communities.
The conference on Saturday, April 11, will take place from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and will offer a community reflection on the profound meaning of traversing places, with the presentation of the new Rural Rings: routes designed to tell the story of the most authentic and rural soul of the territory, including a trial dedicated to accessibility.
On Sunday, April 12, an inaugural walk open to everyone is scheduled on the Rural Ring within Fenera Park, including a visit and tasting at Podere dei Valloni.
