Until November 1st, 2026, the Museo del Paesaggio in Verbania will host Terre Inquiete, a solo exhibition by Tullio Pericoli curated by Elena Pontiggia and set up in the rooms of Palazzo Viani Dugnani.
The exhibition brings together 50 works, about half of which are unpublished, and offers a journey through the artist’s research, which has always been deeply linked to the theme of nature. In his works, however, the landscape is never a simple reproduction of reality: it becomes a tool to tell stories, evoke, and reflect on the transformations and fragilities of the present.
Pericoli uses the landscape as a true expressive language, filtering reality through painting to convey emotions, anxieties, and thoughts. His works therefore do not attempt to faithfully describe what we see, but to suggest meanings and sensations. Even the titles leave room for interpretation, offering the viewer starting points to build their own meaning.
The exhibition path also allows visitors to follow the evolution of the artist’s style: from early works to his most recent creations, a progressive fragmentation of the landscape emerges, accompanied by an increasingly marked tension.
Furthermore, the exhibition dialogues with the Art Gallery of the Museo del Paesaggio, which houses important painting works from the 19th and 20th centuries, with artists such as Arnaldo Ferraguti, Guido Boggiani and Eugenio Gignous. The comparison between these works and those of Pericoli allows us to grasp the evolution of the representation of landscape: from naturalistic description to its reinterpretation in a freer, more personal, and introspective key.

- Guided tours with art historian Ilaria Macchi (June 6th, July 11th, August 8th, September 19th, October 17th – at 3:30 PM)
- Workshops for children (September 19th, October 17th – at 3:00 PM)
- Itineraries dedicated to teenagers
