Sounds and Signs of Vaia

Domodossola
18 October 2025
- 23 November 2025

From October 18th to November 23rd, 2025, the interactive exhibition “Suoni e segni di Vaia. La tempesta raccontata dai suoi, video e fotografie” (Sounds and Signs of Vaia. The storm told by its sounds, videos, and photographs) will be held at the Rosmini College in Domodossola.

The exhibition is dedicated to exploring Storm Vaia, which swept through and devastated a vast Alpine area across Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia in 2018. In Italy, the most affected area was the Dolomites, with millions of trees felled across Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, and Lombardy. The heavy rain and wind gusts caused the devastation of tens of thousands of hectares of coniferous forests. A natural disaster that has made the impact of climate change on our planet even more evident.

The exhibition route will be accompanied by two exhibitions by artists addressing the theme of climate change: “Siamo Natura” (We Are Nature) by Donatella Mora and “L’apocalisse degli animali” (The Apocalypse of Animals) by Joseph Lombardi.

Free entrance.
Hours: Saturday and Sunday 10 AM–12:30 PM and 3:30 PM–6:30 PM

PH: Vaia Srl
