The traditional SlowUp Ticino event, which takes place every year on a route winding between Locarno and Bellinzona, will be held this year on April 19, 2026.
As always, the event aims to be a beautiful day of outdoor celebration where anyone can enjoy a stretch of car-free road. The route, approximately 50 km long, is mainly flat; there are no time limits and the pace is free. The event’s numbers are always striking: since the first edition held in 2002, there has been exponential growth, reaching the 2018 edition which involved as many as 500,000 people.
