The Sgamelàa d’Vigezz, “Sgambettata di Vigezzo”, will be held again this year on Sunday, August 30th, 2025.
Born in 1972, it represents the oldest running race in Italy along with the “Milano-Proserpio” which later became the Stramilano. The route, a good 25 km long, takes place mainly on paths and mule tracks that offer participants wonderful glimpses of the Valley of Painters.
Touching the seven municipalities, Santa Maria Maggiore, the starting and finishing location, Druogno, Buttogno, Crana, Toceno, Vocogno, Craveggia, Zornasco, Villette, Re, and Malesco, the Sgamelàa d’Vigezz represents an important event for mountain running lovers.
