Starting Friday, August 28th, 2026, in Montecrestese, the Potato Festival begins, the traditional end-of-summer event featuring a thousand local delicacies.
Until Monday, August 31st, it will be possible to enjoy excellent local cured meats, gnocchi, raclette, roasts, grilled meats, cakes, and many other delicious treats! Potato gnocchi, freshly prepared and kneaded by hand by the women of the village, are the main specialty.
Starting this year, the menu is enriched with new specialties: trout, a symbol of mountain streams, barley salad, a traditional Alpine grain, and pork loin with honey and bacon.
The Potato Festival is not just about food; to brighten the days of celebration there will be dancing, cabaret, karaoke, concerts, and many lovely stalls.
Additionally, a children’s play area with inflatable slides and other attractions is provided.
The Potato Festival awaits you at the sports facilities of the Municipality of Montecrestese (VB).
