FAI Spring Days: The Wonder of Upper Piedmont 2026

On Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, 2026, the “FAI Spring Days” return for their 34th edition. This major public event has, since 1993, offered hundreds of thousands of Italians the opportunity – on the first weekend of spring – to reclaim the cultural and landscape heritage of the cities and territories where they live. It is a heritage made of better or lesser-known treasures of art and nature, as well as unique stories, traditions, and knowledge passed down and renewed by the communities that safeguard them. Every year, FAI dedicates this “collective celebration” to promoting knowledge, care, and protection, in line with the educational mission the Foundation has pursued for over fifty years.

Thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of thousands of volunteers from FAI Delegations and Groups active in all regions, hundreds of sites of art, history, and nature will be open for visits with a voluntary contribution. These sites, spanning the Peninsula from north to south, are often little known or undervalued, and many are usually inaccessible: from villas to castles, churches to educational venues, artisan workshops to natural areas, as well as theaters, art collections, and production sites. Participating in the FAI Spring Days is therefore an opportunity to discover and appreciate the heritage surrounding us and a concrete way to contribute to its protection and enhancement, as every visit allows you to support the Foundation’s mission with a donation.
