Novara
23 May 2026
- 24 May 2026

In the month of May 2026, on the 23rd and 24th, a well-established event for the city’s cultural scene returns to Novara at the Salone Borsa in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, “Exporice 2026: riso & gorgonzola“.

The event, organized by ATL Terre dell’Alto Piemonte and Camera di Commercio Monte Rosa Laghi Alto Piemonte, celebrates the symbolic products of the territory, rice and gorgonzola, thanks to the partnership with the Consorzio per la Tutela del Formaggio Gorgonzola Dop, the support of Regione Piemonte, and the network of collaborations and patronages of local entities and associations.

The initiative, reaching its thirteenth edition this year, will liven up Novara on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 with a rich program of activities, which will kick off with the official inauguration scheduled for Saturday, May 23 at 9:30 AM at the Salone Borsa in Piazza Martiri

The heart of the event will be the rice market, where it will be possible to buy delicious products directly from local businesses, including the wines offered by the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte, while enjoying the specialties of the food truck present.

Multiple initiatives are on the program, starting from the sensory analysis workshops curated by the Rice Sommeiliers of the Strada del Riso Piemontese di Qualità and the guided tastings of sweet and spicy Gorgonzola by the Consorzio per la Tutela del Formaggio Gorgonzola Dop, which will be free to attend upon reservation.

Furthermore, cooking school lessons will take place (also free and upon reservation): on Saturday at 5:00 PM Chef Giovanni Ruggieri and Sara Foschini, head cook of the editorial team of La Cucina Italiana, will be the protagonists of “Risotto a quattro mani”, while on Sunday at 4:00 PM the presentation of the book “In Cucina con Luca Pappagallo” is scheduled, followed by a showcooking with the author.

There will also be bus excursions to places of cultural interest in Tornaco, exhibitions, conferences, guided tours, theatrical performances, immersive virtual reality experiences in the rice fields curated by the Ente Risi, and showcookings in collaboration with the students and teachers of the Centro di Formazione Professionale CNOS-FAP of Novara.
