The City of Cannobio is pleased to announce the collaboration with Gianni Cella, a central figure in Italian contemporary art.
The exhibition project – curated by Marianna Cappia and coordinated by Marco Albertella – aims to highlight the forty-year career of Gianni Cella: starting from a widespread exhibition titled Palloni gonfiati, where five works will be hosted in emblematic and poetic locations of the city, and continuing with Lo spazio ineffabile, an anthological solo exhibition held at Palazzo Parasi.
Palloni Gonfiati presents a series of ironic, three-dimensional humanoid sculptures with bright colors and soft volumes. They will be on display until October 25, 2026.
Lo Spazio Ineffabile is an exhibition path that, through historical works and more recent pieces, reconstructs how Gianni Cella has brought delicacy, planning, and emotional depth into a popular and playful imagery, making his production an original and personal testimony of the contemporary.
The exhibition will be open to the public on the 1st floor of Palazzo Parasi, during the following hours, until Sunday, July 19, 2026:

-Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM
