The 27th edition of Arte al Centro will inaugurate on June 28th. This is the festival of exhibitions, meetings, and seminars showcasing artistic practices that transform the social contexts in which they develop, realized by the Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte.
The program includes the presentation of a new exhibition space: the Palazzo del Buongoverno (Palace of Good Government), which will host unprecedented exhibitions by Cittadellarte, with Biella Città Arcipelago (Biella Archipelago City), and by Michelangelo Pistoletto.
THE EXHIBITIONS
The following exhibitions will be open from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM:
At the Palazzo del Buongoverno (Costa di Riva 11):
- The new Arcipelago space on the second floor (exhibition design by Guardini Ciuffreda Studio);
- Two new exhibitions curated by Cittadellarte featuring works by Michelangelo Pistoletto: U.R.-R.A. Unity of Religions – Responsibility of Art, for a Preventive Peace on the first floor, Unity of Sports for Preventive Peace on the ground floor – and the public artwork Statodellarte in the external area of the Palace.
At Cittadellarte:
- The Permanent Collection of Michelangelo Pistoletto with the new installation Mirror of Eternity;
- Ecosystems as Living Communities by Despina Charitonidi and Davide Tagliabue (a.k.a. Metrocubo), realized by UNIDEE Residency Programs in collaboration with UniCredit;
- Not too hard to listen, exhibition by students of the three-year Public Art course at Accademia Unidee;
- Open Atelier of the students from the three-year Sustainable Fashion course at Accademia Unidee featuring: the tailoring workshop for the show “Tertium Datur. Da Leonardo Da Vinci a Michelangelo Pistoletto”, the exhibition Il gioiello tessile (The Textile Jewel), the collection Sostenibilità del taylor made (Sustainability of Taylor Made), and the Abiti di scena per piccoli attori (Stage Costumes for Young Actors).
- As usual, the exhibitions Labirinto – Pace Preventiva (Labyrinth – Preventive Peace) by Michelangelo Pistoletto and the Sede permanente del Terzo Paradiso (Permanent Seat of the Third Paradise) on Via Cernaia will also be open, in addition to Ways of Becoming: Archivio UNIDEE Residency Programs at the Gallery.
