The town in the Antigorio Valley will host a journey of magic and emotions, rediscovering a territory where unspoiled landscapes merge with typical Alpine architecture: the beloved Nativity Scenes on the Water return. This is an open-air route among ancient hamlets, mule tracks, and streams where 71 nativity scenes will be placed in fountains, wash houses, and small rivers.
The route is always accessible free of charge, both by day and by night, when the lights of the nativity scenes make this experience even more charming along the streets, paths, and mule tracks that lead from Crodo’s 500 meters to the 1200 meters of altitude of the highest hamlet, Alpe Foppiano. The nativity scenes will be viewable from December 6, 2025, to January 11, 2026.
The event is also an opportunity to discover the environmental wonders and gastronomic excellence enclosed in this Alpine corner. Visitors should not miss a stop at the local restaurants, which offer delicious gourmet dishes with zero-km products, as well as at local producers and artisans of taste who, with their Alpine cheeses, baked delicacies, medicinal herbs, and high-quality cured meats, represent another appreciated stop for the most demanding palates.
