On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the prestigious national conference “Between Wood and Water,” dedicated to the world of historic boats and traditional seamanship, returns to the Fondazione Officine dell’Acqua in Laveno Mombello, on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore.
This special edition will take place for the first time within the museum headquarters, located in the former railway and port warehouses for goods storage, which have been renovated thanks to the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation. It is an unmissable opportunity to visit more than 2,000 square meters of the new cultural, shipbuilding, and educational hub, which includes an important collection of vintage hulls already recognized as a “Museum Collection” by the Lombardy Region.
Two different registration fees are available:
20 euros per person for the conference and two coffee breaks,
70 euros per person for the conference, two coffee breaks, and a seated lunch.
Participation is free for teachers and university students, including two coffee breaks, provided they register through the website and present their university badge at the time of accreditation.
