Lo Pan Ner, the great cross-border black bread festival that brings together the Alps and their inhabitants around the ancient art of bread making, is back.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the event, this year the entire month of October, from the 4th to the 26th, will be dedicated to bread, with the ovens of 18 villages in Val d’Ossola and Verbano being fired up once again.
In addition to the already established villages of Montescheno, Borgomezzavalle, Antrona Schieranco, Montecrestese, Calasca Castiglione, Macugnaga, Vallesone di Domodossola, Tappia and Varchignoli di Villadossola, Vogogna, Coimo, Colloro di Premosello Chiovenda, Cavandone, and Miazzina in Verbania, Aurano, and Intragna in Valgrande, two other Ossola villages, Trontano and Masera, are joining this year.
Visitors will be able to participate in guided tours and excursions, tastings, shows, and exhibitions.
