Programme

The "Carlo Nigra, Uno sguardo contemporaneo“ (a contemporary view) exhibition is the first important step towards shedding light on a central figure of Italian architecture, an eclectic and multifaceted personality. A man of his time but also, and above all, projected towards the future, Carlo Nigra (1856-1942) is known for having participated in the construction of the medieval Hamlet of Torino and for his important studies on medieval subalpine architecture.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday, June 25th at 6pm and will remain open until Sunday, July 24th. Nigra’s autographed photographs, drawings and projects are accompanied by the contemporary works of Sara Manzan, Erjon Nazeraj, Fabio Roncato, Paola Tassetti, Gosia Turzeniecka. These are site-specific works that adorn the frescoed rooms on the piano nobile of Villa Nigra in Miasino.
