Santhià, in the province of Vercelli, is an industrial and agricultural center, as well as a road and commercial hub dating back to medieval times. It is also crossed by the Via Francigena. Every year, the city hosts the oldest historical carnival in Piedmont, which attracts visitors and enthusiasts from all over Italy.
