Gignese is a town in the Verbano Cusio Ossola province, located halfway between Stresa and Mottarone. The patron saint of the town is Saint Maurice, after whom the local church, rebuilt in the first half of the 18th century, is named. Since 1939, it has been home to the Umbrella and Parasol Museum, which was renovated in 1976.
