Gattinara is an ancient village in the province of Vercelli, known throughout the world mainly for the production of the wine of the same name, Gattinara DOCG. One of the points of interest in the village, surrounded by hills, is the Parish Church of San Pietro, built in Lombard Gothic style. There are also many itineraries to explore on foot or by bicycle in the surroundings of the town. Among the most famous are the Via dei Calici (Way of the Wine Glasses), the Vie del Vino (Wine Routes), and the Sentieri dei Gatti (Cat Trails).
