Baceno is located in the Antigorio Valley, at the entrance to the Formazza Valley. It is renowned for its proximity to the Alpe Devero Natural Park, the Uriezzo Gorges, and its monumental church. The monumental church of San Gaudenzio stands in a privileged position on a rocky spur and is one of the most important symbols of sacred architecture in northern Piedmont.
