"Tavole Mulino" of Suna
"Mill board", "mill" or "merels" is a specific kind of petroglyph (somebody even allocates it to the maze category), whose presence seems to be exclusively concentrated in Suna.
Indeed, dozens of examples, with an average size of 30 x 30 cm, can be seen in the entrance halls of ancient courtyards and in various points of the town; among these is the church of St. Fabiano: a "mill board" is clearly visible on the staircase, and two similar petroglyphs can be seen in the church square, one near the church entrance and the other one next to the column to the left. Several engravings of different kinds can also be seen in Suna.
In particular, two anthropomorphous and/or tree-shaped engravings are worthwhile mentioning. They can be seen in the old town centre: one on the keystone of a porch in a courtyard of Via Brofferio and another one on a cuspidate architrave in a courtyard of Via dei Partigiani.
