Music, mountains and adventure return in the form of the mountain event LetterAltura on Sunday 12th July when the festival will stop over in Macugnaga. Monte Rosa with its colours and imposing peaks will be the backdrop for a concert scheduled at 7.30am at 200 metres in altitude in the location of Zamboni.

L’Orchestra Giovanile di Fiati del VCO (VCO Female Wind Orchestra), madu up of 55 elements all aged between 16 and 24 and directed by maestri Stefano Gori and Massimiliano Pidò, will offer us an unforgettable atmosphere unifying the magic of music to the delights of a unique, breathtaking view. The young orchestra members will perform a series of previously unheard compositions. The programme of original music for wind instruments include the scores: Monterosa by Roberto Olzer, The Lord of the Rings by Jan de Mej, Bacchus on Blue Ridge by Joseph Horovitz, Armenian Dances and El camino real by Alfred Reed.

The orchestra’s instruments will be transported to the Zamboni lodge on foot by guides and volunteers from Macugnaga, respecting Nature and the Eco-sustainable spirit of the LetterAltura festival.
