Nuovo Safari ParkPlaced on the Novara hills, very closed to Lake Maggiore and the Natural Park Valle del Ticino, the Safari Park includes 40 hectares of meadows, oak, birches and chestnuts woods. The park is divided in two different sections, Camminando and In Auto tra le belve libere (only by car) and offers a look at the most important exotic animals.

So explained Captain Neil McEacharn, to whom we owe the birth of these marvellous gardens. From 1952, according to the Captain's wishes, the Gardens are open to the public from April to October, everyday non-stop from 8,30 to 18,30, and in the over 220 opening days, the gardens offer to the thousands tourists many opportunities to admire spectacular flowerings. The tourist season opens with a generous flowering of acidophilus plants, prunus, forsythias and of the thousand colours of over 80.00 tulips, to pass then to the planting of over 25.000 border plants to cover the different flowerbeds. The season goes on with the "Dahlia show" where over 350 varieties are exposed and it concludes itself with the warm shades of the autumn landscapes of inimitable suggestion that bring the garden toward the winter rigors.
